Linda Blot - May 19, 2017 Cosmological simulations for precision cosmology with large galaxy surveys The upcoming generation of galaxy surveys will probe the distribution of matter in the universe with unprecedented accuracy. Measurements of the matter density power spectrum at different scales and redshifts will provide stringent constraints on the cosmological parameters. However, on non-linear scales this will require an accurate modelling of the observables and their covariance. In this talk I will discuss the role of numerical simulations in this context and the associated numerical challenges.
